*temper*

PISCES
February 19 March 20
The only thing that can be said about you dreamers is that you appear even more attractive when angry. You are very sensitive to others' feelings, so you rarely hurt them. But when others tend to hurt you, then things take a nasty turn. You will yell and use harsh words, and feel inclined to shake everything and everyone up.
Your creative imagery is at its best when angry, and you tend to get pretty dramatic. When upset, you refuse to listen to reason and wish to be left alone. But once you calm down, you repent your tantrums and seek forgiveness. So nobody can be upset with you for too long.

actually my temper varies between the two extreams.. meaning that most things dont upset me much but some things just gets me up even the great wall of china :P no good huh? but hey, looking on the bright side, you can be sure i wont be mad if you step in my toe..accidentially that is.. *grin*

interested to know your temper + star sign? lemme know :)

d! we can stay together! hehehe..

Congratulations, you're Seattle, the Emerald City.
What US city are you? Take the quiz by Girlwithagun.

Seattle, Washington
Contrary to popular opinion, Seattle is not as rainy as legend says. It is in fact a charming green jewel with sparkling cerulean water and verdant hills. Its isolation has made it home to free-thinking and independent individuals. Despite having the most millionaires per capita, it still has a small town atmosphere. A small town with lots of coffee that is. Java is an art there. Perhaps it is the coffee that has caused this city to give birth to twisted cartoonists and rock stars.

*believe it*

i cant believe its actually happening! i just got my luggage for the mini-temp migration to melbie (special thanks to tavis's mum *thank you aunty for the early christmas pressie*)
the last time i checked, i still had.. lets see... two years! before i go down under and now its less than 6 months till i make the big move..

i guess i am independent and knowing myself, i'd prob do fine and all but its the homesick-ness that will drive me nuts.. at least for the first month i guess...maybe by then i will not want to come back! muahahahaha! *makes sure mum does not see this entry* hehehe..

just kidding!

alot of ppl are encouraging me to get PR when i get to melbie..''just in case..." they say..well..maybe it isnt such a bad idea..just an additional security blanket i guess..

*what the*

i was watching the grand opening of the esplanade on channel news asia last night and heard something i cant really believe..

taken off the business times online:
Officially, The Esplanade costs $620 million in development costs and $30 million a year to run. The real costs are much higher. The $620 million is what is spent on construction. The government also granted six hectares (645,840 sq ft) of prime seafront land to The Esplanade. If the land is sold for offices - it is right across the road from Hongkong Land's One Raffles Link - it should easily fetch $1,000 per sq ft or $645 million. Total cost of The Esplanade thus comes to nearly $1.3 billion, most of which is for creating 4,000 seats in its Concert Hall and Lyric Theatre. The average cost of a seat is $325,000, as much as a five-room HDB flat.
Not surprisingly, the running cost is on an equally massive scale. The operating cost of The Esplanade (wages, advertising, production) is around $30 million. This is the only set of costs mentioned in the official literature.
There are two other cost elements. Maintenance, due to its unusual shape and precise acoustic requirements, should amount to also $30 million, or 5 per cent of the building cost. Then there is ticket subsidy, which could hit $150 million a year, or one-and-a-half times the operating budget of the National Library Board....

none of this is mentioned on their website of course..the closest thing that comes from the search function on 'cost' is the word 'costumes'..

i guess only time will tell if it really will become a white elephant (as i have read a person's blog expressing her view...)

lets hope not..

but i must say they had a wicked display of fireworks... its like 10 times better than that of the ones on national day man..
